World Trade Center Attack 9/11

World Trade Center is a complex of many buildings which are currently under construction.  It is situated in the Lower Manhattan, New York, America. It is replacing the earlier seven towers with the same name. It is used to be represented by the twin towers which were opened on 4^th April 1973 but were destroyed in a terrorist attack on 11^th September 2001.

The other buildings were just damaged and the remains were being finished. The site is now going to construct five skyscrapers and also a memorial in memories of those who died.By Nov 2011, only one skyscraper was completed and the remaining four will be completed by 2020. There will be more than hundred storeys once it’s completed and will be popularly known as the One World Trade Center. It is the tallest building in New York.

The twin towers i.e. the North Tower and the South Tower used to be the tallest buildings in the world. Along with these two towers, the others were 3 WTC (The Marriott World Trade Center) , 4 WTC , 5 WTC, 6 WTC and also 7 WTC. The total budget was approximately $400 million.

At 9:59 a.m., the South Tower collapsed after burning for approximately 56 minutes. The fire caused steel structural elements, already weakened from the plane impact, to fail. The North Tower collapsed at 10:28 a.m., after burning for approximately 102 minutes. At 5:20 p.m on September 11, 2001, 7 World Trade Center started to collapse with the crumble of the east penthouse, and it collapsed completely at 5:21 p.m.owing to uncontrolled fires causing structural failure.

On The morning of 11^th September 2001, Al Qaeda Hijackers flew 2 Boeing 767 jets right into the complex, right into each tower. It was a terrorist attack. After burning for about 56 minutes, the South Tower was completely collapsed and then after half an hour, North tower was bent too. There were 2,753 deaths reported. The falling debris caused great damage to the surrounding buildings which led to the damage of other structures. It took about 8 months cleaning up the debris and recovery.

 

The first new building was 7 World Trade Center which was opened in 2006 May. LMDC (Lower Manhattan Development Corporation was given the task of reconstructing the site plan. The final plan was being chosen by the Memory Foundations which was designed by the Daniel Libeskind. There will be an additional National September 11 Memorial and Museum made.

It appears that the companies are competing against each other to create the tallest building and many have managed to create giant structures that are a wonder for rest of the world. One example of them is the Dubai Towers which stands at an impressive height of 210m. Although this building might have been one of the tallest in its time, but in the race of creating mega structures this building has been left behind in dust. In a city with buildings as high as 400m this sky scraper is considered relatively small.  Nevertheless the Dubai Tower has an impressive structure. It has a total of 45 floors. Designed by Gulf Engineering & Consultants, this building is an example of the breath-taking and elegant architecture that Dubai is so famous for.  The construction of the building was completed in 2009 and since then it has been a source of wonder and amazement for all the sight seers who visit Dubai.

Few days ago I search on the internet and look closely about Beijing town which located in China. Yeah although I got it through the help of internet access then know it, actually the beauty of this city together with its culture, is really interesting to observed especially for those who kind of traveling. And the most impressive thing is the fame of Beijing at night. So, will you ask why? Of course I have the answer that can persuade you.

Whenever I remember the word “Beijing”, the first thing comes up within my mind is its Chinese typical ornaments with some kingdom’s symbols such as dragon statues, bamboos of nature, a very clean and tidy garden, the monks, etc. True Beijing is a town with all everything which also modern. Hyde Park Corner Family Park In London

I always try to list some schedules of activities i will do in Sunday. Have my breakfast in morning, clean all dirty clothes and mop the lantai, then go tho the wishing place together with my lovely friends. Having fun in tourism park, trying all kinds of dangerous games and screaming loudly has been being my routine schedule once a month. Or another idea about visiting beach, play around race to built the best pretty sand castle or just capturing own self and set the cute pose appropriated by the nature. But it also has been being my habit and my friend’s, capturing every moment filling Hand phone gallery until the memory card has definitely full.

Before the best holiday of the great Sunday, on Saturday I also write an idea of good places that should be visited next. Actually we have been already bored with the same places we have visited before. I think we need a park that can make our mind feel more relax by the nature. May be Hyde Park of London is an excellent choice not only for me, but for you too. I have note some points of reason about why Hyde Park must be visited.  Hyde Park is the biggest park in central London and one of the Royal Park. This Park is famous with it’s speaker’s corner which is able to reach almost the whole of park sudutnya. May be if you lost your family or friend there when you are busy with your activity, you absolutely  do not need to be much worry. Just come to the Information center and it will help you by its super loud speaker, then finally you find your missing person back. Hahaha...

There are also some interest site that we can see as an oval stone ring fountain known as Princess of Wales Memorial, Diana that placed on south of the Serpentine; beyond the dam, London’s Holocaust Memorial;  a botanical curiosity is the Weeping Beech, Fagus sylvatica pendula, cherished as “the upside -down tree”;and  a rose garden.  Even there also an events usually held mostly about famous rock concert where Pink Floyd reunited their classic line up for the first time in over 30 years. The show of Rolling Stone is also held there.
