Taj Mahal One Of The Seven Wonders Of The World In Agra, India The Symbol Of Love

Taj MahalIndia might be small in size but it is rich in history and culture. When it comes to beautiful historical sites in India, there are many but none matches up to the Taj Mahal in Agra. It has been named as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The history of Taj Mahal goes back to the eighteenth centuary. This monument built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan is the proclamation of his ever lating love for his wife. The monument made entirely of white marble stands tall on the banks of River Yamuna and has been a popular tourist spot and inspiring lovers since the day it was built.
Taj Mahal displays different moods throughout the day. When the first rays of the sun falls on it early in the morning the white marble of the monument lights up. At dusk the monument completely changes colour to match the waning sun. At night time the lights around the Mahal are turned on, and the monument lights up completely to shine as bright as the moon in the starry sky. As it is made of the white marble the authorities are very concerned about the marble losing its shine because of the increasing pollution. For this purpose no automobiles or buses are allowed near the Mahal. Horse driven Tonga, rickshaws or battery operated buses are available to take the tourists to the monument.

  1. Shah Jahan created the Taj Mahal "crown of palaces" in Agra India, completed in 1648. Ustad Ahmad Lahauri of Persia supervised the design, with extensive personal involvement in the construction, and architects included Abd ul-Karim Ma'mur Khan and Makramat Khan. The famous white mausoleum is just one part of the enormous 55.5 acre complex, dedicated to Jahan's third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.Get Offer taj mahal tour packages.
