TibetTibet is known as the roof of the world. Located in north of Asia Tibet is a high altitude country famous for its natural beauty and jewellery. If you are planning to travel to Tibet here is what you need to know before you head out.

Climate: Tibet is located at a very high altitude. Different areas of it's have different climates. The weather even changes from day to night with nights being much colder than days. Eastern Tibet is much warmer than the western side while in the South-eastern Tibet the climate is balmy. The climate of central Tibet is more suitable for traveling. Areas of Lhasa and Tsedang are perfect for visiting all year round as the climate there is neither too cold nor too hot.

Roads Travel: If you are afraid raining can make roads treacherous in Tibet then don’t worry. The roads are well maintained for a mountainous country so you don’t need to fret about the weather affecting your travel plans. The rainy season is from June to August and even then the roads are not affected as badly as you would think. Tourist buses are always around to take you to all important places.

The Best Time to Visit:

The best time to visit Tibet is when the weather is not too hot or not too cold. The tourist season in Tibet starts from early April and lasts till the end of summer, If you go to this place in summer you can not only catch it in its moderate climate but you can also see the festivals such as Nagqu horse riding Festival, Gyantse Dawa Festival and Shoton Festival. The weather becomes cold and harsh in winters and not many people go to Tibet then.
