Mumbai - Travel Guide

Mumbai is the “City of Dreams”, it is the capital of Maharashtra state and the financial capital of India. Every year thousands of people from both India and rest of the world head out to Mumbai to spend their vacations and revel in the beauty and luxury of this historic city. Mumbai has a lot to offer to its visitors; you can go to the beach, try out spicy recipes from local kitchens and head out to bazaar to bargain for beautiful jewelry and clothes. When you go to Mumbai you must visit some of the following places;

Hazi Ali: One of the most popular Muslim landmarks in Mumbai is Hazi Ali. It is both a mosque and tomb and people from all around the globe visit it during the pilgrimage season. Nestled in the middle of ocean, Hazi Ali is a great sight to behold.

Gateway of India:  Constructed during the British reign in 1920, the Gateway of India welcomes people to Mumbai when they come through the sea route. The place is a must-see for all those who go to Mumbai and is located close to the luxurious Taj Hotel.



Juhu Beach: One of the most exciting places in Mumbai is the sprawling beach of Juhu that is surrounded by Vile Parle and is the best place to go to if you want to try the local delicious snacks such as pav bhaji, pani puri etc.

Film City: Mumbai is also home to the grand film industry of India, known as the “Bollywood”. Indian films are praised all over the world and if you are in Mumbai don’t forget to visit the film town, you might just see the next blockbuster being filmed.


Siddhivinayak Temple: A visit to a rich Indian town is not complete without visiting one of the historic Hindu temples. Siddhivinayak Temple is dedicated to the deity Ganesh and is a major center of belief for people residing in the area.

Hanging Garden: One of the most popular tourist spots in the city is the Hanging Garden. Located on top of the Malabar hills and adjacent to Kamla Nehru Park, the garden provides an impressive view of the Arabian Sea.
