Miran-e-Pakistan is a public memorial place situate in Iqbal Park in, Lahore, Pakistan. In the year 1960 the tower was constructed on the site where 23rd march 1940, the All India Muslim league passed the Lahore resolution; it was the first official call for a separate homeland for the Muslims living in the South Asia, in accordance to the two nation theory. Its design reflects a blend of Mughal, Islamic and modern architecture. By Nasreeddin Murat Khan, this tower was constructed an architect hailing from Dagestan. By a civil engineer Abdur Rehman Khan Niazi, the structural design was given who was from Lahore and was working with Murat Khan.

and the design was constructed by Mian Abdul Khaliq and Company. On
23rd March 1960 the foundation stone was laid and for construction
had taken eight years and was completed in the year 1968. On 31st
October 1968 this Minar was completed and contained an estimated cost
of this design was about Rs 500,000. By imposing an additional tax on
the cinema and horse racing tickets on the demand of Akhtar Husain,
who was the governor of West Pakistan, the money was collected.

This minaret provides a full view to visitors, who
can climb through an elevator or up the stairs. Around the monuments
the parks are around include marble mountains and artificial lakes.
If we talk about its structure, its base is about 8 meters above the
ground. About 62 meters the tower rises on the base and its total
height of minaret is about 92 meters above the ground. The unfolding
petals of the floor like base are 9 meters high. About 9.75 meters the
diameter of the tower is. The stage is built of pattern lines
which faces the Badshahi Masjid. Its base is comprises of four platforms.
The first platform is built with uncut Taxila stones, second platform
is made of hammer dressed stones and the third platform is of chiseled
stones and the fourth and final platform is made up of the polish white
marbles.
