Islands Of The Andaman Sea, Thailand

Thailand has a lot of islands in the Andaman Sea. Ever year thousands of people from all over the world head out there to spend their vacations in these islands. If you are planning to go as well then you would need to know some of the important places that are worth visiting. Here is a list of some of the famous islands and places in the Andaman Sea that you can visit.

Phuket: Phuket is a tropical paradise. The lush green hills, sand beaches and warm, azure water of the Andaman Sea make this place a popular tourist destination.

Krabi: This province is located to south of Thailand. The main place that people come from afar to see here is the Phi Phi Island. It’s a perfect spot for rock climbing and exploring mountain caves.

Satun: This small province is located in south of Thailand and possesses many captivating small islands with lush forests and mountainous terrain. It occupies the total area of 2478 square km.

Ranong: This province is located 568km from Bangkok and is known for a long rainy period. The place is blessed with great natural beauty and many hot springs and unspoiled forests. This place is bordered by Myanmar and Indian Ocean.

Trang: This place was initially a port used in foreign trade. It holds great significance because it was the first place rubber was planted in. Trang River that flows through the place is also worth seeing.  
Koh Lanta: Koh Lanta is located at an approximated distance of 70km from Krabi. The place stretches for about 27kms and is covered mostly by beautiful green rain forests and a mountain range.

Koh Phi Phi: There are six islands that make up Koh Phi Phi. They are all in the Andaman Sea close to both Phuket and Krabi. These islands are extremely picturesque with banks of coral, emerald sea and white beaches.

Phang Nga: This seaside town is covered on all sides by mountains and dense forests. The mountains give way to sandy beaches and clear sea water which is perfect for swimming and soaking in the sun.
